This is one of the good song i believe i have ever come across. It takes me memory lane in my life from when i was a small boy to where i am. I heard the song sang by Cathedrals in the year 2001.

I, too, love this short song. I remember hearing it sung by the Bibletones at Toledo Bend Baptist Church in Louisiana back in probably the early to mid 80s. I lost my mom back in 2002 and my dad this past month, and I find myself singing this song sometimes. "Thanks for mom and dad and the good times we had..." It helps me through the grief.
